Patiala is a District of Punjab State situated in the North India.it is also known as Royal City of Punjab.Because it has rich culture and history its very popular for so many cultural things like:-Patiala Pag (Turban),Patiala Peg(a measure of Liquor),Patiala Jutti ( A type of foot wear),Patiala Salwar (A kind of female Trousers) and many more things.its very old city. Baba Ala Singh was the founder of Patiala. He built a fort named Quila Mubarak in 1763. Baba Ala Singh was the First ruler(Maharaja) of Patiala and now Caption Amrinder Singh Ex-chief Minister of Punjab He is leading to Royal family.So many buildings constructed by Maharajas of Patiala during their ruling era such as Quila Mubarak,Old Moti Bagh Place (NIS),Sheesh Mahal (Place of Mirror),Kali Mata Temple,YPS (School),Mohindra Collage,Baradari Palace(Heritage Hotel).Patiala is a Hub of Punjab Heritage & Culture.As Tourist Destination Patiala is on Second Place after Amritsar in Punjab.Now PHTPB launched Heritage Walk at Patiala on World Tourism Day to Develop Tourism in the city after Amritsar.
